About our School

K. E. CARMEL

K. E. Carmel School belongs to a CMI Group of Schools in West Bengal. It draws inspiration from St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (1805-71), a visionary and social reformer of divine calibre, and the founder of two religious congregations among the St.Thomas Catholics in India, namely, the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) for men and the CMC (Congregation of Mother of Carmel) for women. After his example, we have started more than 650 schools, 37 colleges and 8 Teachers Training Colleges in India(like Christ University, Bangalore, Jagdalpur, Irinjalakuda, Bhopal, K. E. College Mannanam, SH College) for educating socially useful citizens with a strong conviction that each one is a precious gift of God.
